Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and dependable Pick Up Truck with Trailer Driver. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating a pickup truck equipped with a trailer to transport grading equipment (Skid Steer Bobcat/Grading Tractor) and be able to perform manual labor such as raking, shoveling, using a wheel barrow, picking up trash and other related tasks.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a pickup truck with trailer, including manual transmission and specialized trailers such as flatbed, dump trailers.
- Load and unload cargo efficiently while adhering to safety protocols and proper handling procedures.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle and trailer to ensure optimal safety and compliance with regulations.
- Plan and follow efficient routes, adjusting as needed for traffic or road conditions to meet delivery schedules.
- Secure machines properly during transit to prevent damage or accidents during route driving.
Skills
- Proven experience in truck driving with a focus on driving with a trailer.
- Proficiency in operating manual transmission vehicles safely and efficiently.
- Familiarity with various trailer types including flatbed, dump trailers.
- Ability to load & unload machines safely.
- Excellent driving record with experience in driving with trailer preferred.
Pay: $18.00 - $19.00 per hour
