CDL Class A or B Driver/Heavy Equipment Operator
The Driver/Operator role is responsible for the daily operation of hauling materials and maintenance of many different types of heavy construction equipment: Excavators, backhoes, bulldozers and skid steers. The operation of this equipment is required to assist in the task at hand primarily new home construction builds: digging basements, trenching, grading, material handling, loading and unloading. The position will also involve lifting and carrying materials throughout the work area. Shoveling, laying patio stones, utilizing both hand and power tools and working in a variety of weather conditions will also be expected.
This position is required to perform the following functions:
- Operate heavy construction equipment including, maneuvering and navigating on various soil conditions
- Complete various assignments by Safely and efficiently operating and maintaining heavy equipment
- Conduct operator inspections and perform preventative maintenance checks (ie. greasing, checking fluid levels, etc)
- Ensure company equipment and material is maintained, kept clean and stored in a safe manner
- Ensure that all excavations meet OSHA and the job specific safety requirements
Skill and Experience:
Required
- Some heavy equipment operation experience
- Possess a valid driver's license
- Must be able to lift at least 100 lbs
Preferred
- High School Diploma or Vocational training in a closely related field
- OSHA 10, OSHA 30 Certifications
- Mechanically inclined
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $32.00 per hour
