About the Role This role supports multiple U.S. Air Force installations across the Eastern United States and may require travel or temporary duty (TDY) assignments based on project needs. The position is part of a planned multi-location project deployment.
Job PurposeThe Real Property Specialist will support Department of the Air Force (DAF) initiatives focused on validating and correcting real property data within NexGen IT systems. This role plays a key part in ensuring data accuracy, audit readiness, and compliance with Air Force regulations, AFCEC guidance, and Financial Improvement and Audit Readiness (FIAR) standards.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Conduct physical existence and completeness inventories of buildings, structures, linear assets, and land
- Perform inspections to ensure full asset accountability in accordance with AFI 32-9005
- Review, analyze, and document real property records and supporting documentation
- Identify and correct discrepancies within NexGen IT systems
- Support FIAR audit readiness and compliance initiatives
- Coordinate with Installation Real Property Accountability Offices (RPAOs) and government stakeholders
- Produce validation reports and resolve outstanding real property data issues
- Conduct administrative and analytical tasks including data review, documentation, and reporting
- Support process improvements to enhance operational efficiency
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of experience in Federal Real Property Accountability and/or auditing processes
- Experience working with NexGen IT systems
- Minimum 3 years of experience working with real property data (digital and/or hard copy)
- Knowledge of Air Force real estate and/or auditing principles
- Familiarity with real property lifecycle management
- Experience with government forms, data validation, and transcription preferred
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
- U.S. citizenship required
- Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance preferred
- Valid driver’s license, current vehicle registration, and proof of insurance
- Ability to travel, including OCONUS assignments
