Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) with certification as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) and Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C) to join our dynamic healthcare team. Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and mental health evaluations to develop accurate diagnoses.
- Prescribe medications in accordance with DEA regulations and collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize treatment plans.
- Manage complex cases involving behavioral health, acute pain, substance use disorders, and chronic disease management using evidence-based practices.
- Utilize EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or eClinicalWorks for documentation, order entry, and care coordination.
- Perform procedures including suturing, IV infusions, venipuncture, catheterization, and sterile processing when necessary.
- Engage in telehealth consultations to expand access to care for remote or underserved populations.
- Participate in clinical research initiatives and quality improvement projects aimed at advancing patient care standards.
Skills
- Extensive experience working with electronic health record systems like Epic, Athenahealth, or Cerner.
- Proficiency in botulinum toxin treatment, dermal fillers, esthetic laser treatments, and other cosmetic procedures is a plus.
- Strong background in critical care environments such as ICU or Level I trauma centers; hospital medicine or emergency medicine experience highly valued.
- Knowledge of gastroenterology procedures including gastric lavage and spinal tap; familiarity with diagnostic evaluation techniques like sonography and medical imaging.
- Skilled in managing diverse patient populations including pediatrics, geriatrics, hospice & palliative care patients, and individuals with developmental disabilities or dementia.
- Ability to perform advanced clinical skills such as airway management, tube feeding, ventilator support, and infection control practices.
- Excellent client communication skills with the ability to educate patients on medication administration, health coaching, discharge planning, and treatment options.
