Heart Beats Music School is seeking an enthusiastic, engaging music educator to join our growing group music program.
We believe children develop lifelong musicianship through joyful, active music-making led by exceptional teachers. We're looking for someone with strong musicianship, outstanding classroom presence, and a genuine love of working with children and families.
This position includes two primary teaching roles:
Harmony Road Music Classes
Teach our established group music classes using the internationally recognized Harmony Road Music Course curriculum. Classes serve children from 18 months through approximately 11 years old and develop comprehensive musicianship through singing, movement, games, keyboard activities, ear training, creativity, and ensemble music-making.
No previous Harmony Road experience is required. We provide paid Harmony Road training and certification, comprehensive lesson plans, curriculum materials, ongoing mentorship, and continuing education so you can focus on becoming an exceptional group music teacher.
Preschool Music Enrichment
As our preschool outreach program grows, this position will also include teaching music enrichment classes at local preschools during weekday mornings. These classes use Heart Beats Music School's proprietary preschool curriculum, which is built upon the musicianship principles and teaching approach of the Harmony Road program while being specifically adapted for preschool classroom settings.
Please note: Our preschool outreach program is currently in its early stages, with preschool teaching opportunities growing over time. We're looking for someone excited to help us build this program as it expands.
The ideal candidate is equally comfortable leading a room full of toddlers and parents, engaging elementary-aged students, and creating joyful, organized group learning experiences where children feel successful and families look forward to coming each week.
