Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of floors, surfaces, restrooms, offices, and common areas using appropriate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers and scrubbers.
- Handle chemical agents safely by following all chemical handling safety procedures to ensure effective sanitation without risk.
- Operate custodial equipment including vacuums, floor buffers, and steam cleaners to maintain high standards of cleanliness.
- Conduct heavy lifting tasks safely when moving furniture, supplies, or equipment in accordance with safe lifting practices.
- Maintain sanitation standards by disinfecting high-touch surfaces and ensuring proper waste disposal across all areas.
- Assist with facilities maintenance tasks such as minor repairs, painting touch-ups, or light custodial duties to support overall building upkeep.
- Follow safety protocols diligently during all cleaning activities to prevent accidents and ensure a secure work environment.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing facility-related concerns promptly and professionally.
Experience
- Prior janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or industrial settings is preferred but not required; training will be provided for motivated candidates.
- Experience handling cleaning chemicals safely and knowledge of sanitation best practices is advantageous.
- Familiarity with cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, vacuums, and other custodial tools is beneficial.
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting while adhering to safety guidelines.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards across diverse environments.
- Previous experience in facilities maintenance or Porter roles is a plus but not mandatory; we value enthusiasm and reliability above all.
