Position Summary
In this role, you will be responsible for cutting materials to blueprint, pulling and preparing material for production, managing heat-treat oven settings per blueprint instructions, and supporting material inventory.
KEY RESPONSBILITIES
- Operate saws to cut raw material accurately to job specifications.
- Pull and stage materials based on work orders and production requirements.
- Set and maintain heat-treat ovens, ensuring correct temperature settings per blueprint specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints and job travelers (blueprint reading is a plus).
- Use a tape measure and other tools to verify material dimensions.
- Help maintain accurate inventory records by assisting with tracking, organizing, and accounting for materials during cycle counts.
- Ensure work area is clean, organized, and follows all safety procedures.
- Collaborate with other team members and departments to ensure timely workflow.
- Must be able to work occasional weekends based on production needs.
- A continuous pattern of regular and prompt attendance is required

SKILLS & ABILITIES
Education: High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)
Experience: one to two years related experience in a manufacturing or shop environment preferred.
Computer Skills: ability to learn company computer system – D365.
Certificates & Licenses
Vocational school or machine trades classes are helpful.
