Responsibilities
- Prepare the operating room by ensuring all necessary equipment, supplies, and instruments are sterile, functional, and ready for use.
- Act as the primary liaison between the surgical team, anesthesia providers, and other healthcare professionals to facilitate smooth procedures.
- Monitor aseptic techniques throughout surgeries to maintain strict infection control standards.
- Assist with patient positioning, documentation, and intraoperative assessments to support optimal surgical outcomes.
- Manage and track surgical instruments and supplies during procedures, ensuring proper sterilization and inventory control.
- Communicate effectively with patients pre- and post-operatively to provide education and address concerns.
- Document all aspects of patient care accurately within electronic health record (EHR) adhering to HIPAA regulations.
Experience
- Proven experience as a circulating nurse in an operating room setting with comprehensive OR experience.
- Familiarity with ENT procedures and practices.
- Knowledge of sterile processing protocols, aseptic technique, and infection control practices.
- Hands-on experience with advanced medical equipment including ventilators, surgical lights, and imaging modalities like sonography or radiography.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy knowledge, and physiological assessment skills.
- Experience working with EMR/EHR systems such is highly preferred.
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure situations while maintaining attention to detail.

Pay: $36.00 - $42.00 per hour
