Job Title: Fulltime Bilingual Office Assistant (Construction)
JKL Construction, in Plains, KS, is seeking a reliable, motivated, and fully Bilingual (English/Spanish) Office Assistant to join our construction team. In this role, you will be an integral member of the administrative team in our office, facilitating communication between our office staff, field crews, subcontractors, and clients. The ideal candidate is an eager learner with a positive attitude, strong organizational skills, and a professional demeanor.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Bilingual Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for English- and Spanish-speaking clients, field laborers, subcontractors, and vendors. Assist with basic translations as needed.
- Front Desk Management: Greet visitors, answer phone calls, route inquiries to project managers, and take accurate, detailed messages.
- Project Administration: Assist in generating job estimates, organizing physical and digital project folders, tracking equipment maintenance, and distributing safety materials to field crews.
- Documentation Support: Help prepare, submit, and track permits, certificate of insurance (COI) requests, and vendor paperwork (like W-9 forms).
- Accounts & Clerical Support: Learn to review incoming invoices, match delivery receipts for construction materials, and perform data entry, , and assist Office Manager with various reports and tasks.
- Office Logistics: Sort incoming mail, manage office supplies, and maintain organized digital and physical filing systems for active and completed construction jobs.

Required Skills and Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent (GED). No college degree required.
- Language: Fluent verbal and written proficiency in both English and Spanish is strictly required.
- Technical Skills: Basic computer literacy, including the ability to check email, type, and use basic spreadsheets (Excel or Google Sheets).

Job Type & Schedule
- Position Type: Full-time, Permanent
- Schedule: Monday to Friday (typical hours would be approximately 8:00am-5:30pm)
