Duties
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment like Hoyer lifts when necessary
- Monitor residents’ health by taking vital signs, observing patient conditions, and reporting changes to healthcare professionals
- Support medication administration following HIPAA guidelines and care plans to ensure safety and compliance
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal planning to promote healthy living and accommodate dietary needs
- Engage residents in social activities and community outings to foster independence and social connection
- Maintain a clean, safe environment by performing light housekeeping duties such as cleaning rooms, common areas, and medical equipment
- Document care activities accurately in compliance with healthcare regulations and organizational policies
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Valid ID or driver’s license
- Must pass a BCI background check
- Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living, nursing homes, or home health environments is highly desirable
- Knowledge of patient observation techniques, dementia care (including Alzheimer's and memory care), autism support, and hospice care practices
- Certification in First Aid and CPR DODD training is required.
- Medication administration are preferred
- Ability to lift 50-75lbs safely and perform physically demanding tasks as needed for resident support
- Strong interpersonal skills with patience, empathy, and excellent communication abilities
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or disabilities requiring specialized care is a plus
- Familiarity with care plans, patient monitoring tools, and safety protocols ensures high-quality support deliveryJoin us to make a positive impact every day! Pay: $15.00 per hour
