Duties
- Assist in preparing a variety of baked goods, including bread, cakes, pastries, and desserts with precision and care
- Decorate cakes and pastries using piping, fondant, and other decorating techniques to ensure visual.
- Package baked items efficiently for retail display or catering orders while maintaining freshness and quality
- Support food production processes by measuring ingredients, mixing batters, and following recipes accurately
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace in compliance with food safety standards
- Handle food with care to ensure hygiene and safety throughout all stages of preparation
- Contribute to catering events by preparing baked goods and assisting with setup as needed
Skills
- Proven experience in baking, pastry making, or culinary arts within a food industry setting
- Strong cake decorating skills with attention to detail and creativity
- Knowledge of food safety protocols and proper food handling procedures
- Excellent knife skills for precise cutting and preparation of ingredients
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment while maintaining high standards of quality
- Customer service experience to assist clients or guests with their orders or inquiries
- Familiarity with packaging techniques to preserve freshness during storage or delivery
- Hands-on experience with food preparation, cooking, and kitchen equipment used in baking and pastry work
