Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in various types of commercial driving, including truck driving and delivery services. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent navigation skills, and the ability to manage routes efficiently. The Driver will be responsible for delivering home heating oil/onroad fuel to our customers.
Duties
- Operate oil truck
- Execute route driving tasks by following predetermined delivery schedules.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery status and any issues encountered on the road.
- Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations related to commercial driving.
Requirements
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) is required.
- Proven experience in truck driving or as a delivery driver is preferred.
- Familiarity with various types of trucks including dump trucks, roll-off trucks, flatbeds, tankers, and tractor-trailers.
- Strong knowledge of route navigation and traffic laws.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening as required by company and state DOT policy.
- Excellent time management skills with a focus on punctuality.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members.
