The Electrical Test Technician supports a fast-paced manufacturing environment by building, maintaining, and enhancing electrical test systems used in product verification and production testing. This role involves troubleshooting and repairing test equipment to the component level, as well as identifying opportunities to improve reliability, efficiency, and overall performance. The position operates with a high degree of independence.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Assemble, configure, and validate electrical test fixtures and related hardware
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair test equipment and associated components to the component level
- Perform rework and repairs on wiring assemblies used within test systems
- Interpret schematics, technical drawings, and test procedures to diagnose electrical issues
- Recommend and implement improvements to test processes, repeatability, and throughput
- Provide timely support to production teams regarding test-related issues
- Document repairs, updates, and process improvements accurately
- Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, operations, and quality personnel
Required Qualifications
- Strong hands-on mechanical and electrical aptitude
- Proficiency using standard electronic test equipment, including:
- Digital multimeters
- Oscilloscopes
- Signal/function generators
- Working knowledge of AC and DC electrical principles
- Ability to perform component-level troubleshooting and repair
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with electrical systems used in electromechanical products
- Exposure to manufacturing or production environments
- Experience supporting high-volume testing operations
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent with 1–3+ years of related experience, or an associate degree or technical certification with 6+ months of relevant experience
Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
