This unique hybrid position combines hands-on veterinary assistant responsibilities with client care and reception duties. You'll have the opportunity to work alongside board-certified veterinary neurologists and neurosurgeons while learning about cutting-edge veterinary medicine and helping guide clients through every step of their pet's care.

Experience and technical skills are certainly valued; however, personality, work ethic, and a willingness to learn are our highest priorities. With the right attitude and drive, almost anything can be taught.
Ultimate Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Obtaining, presenting, and transcribing comprehensive medical histories
- Answering phones and assisting clients with scheduling, questions, and patient communication
- Monitoring hospitalized patients and MRI recoveries
- Preparing patients for MRI and anesthesia
- Monitoring anesthesia
- IV catheter placement and urinary catheter placement
- Blood collection and sample handling
- Drug calculations
- Acquiring blood pressure by Doppler
- Excellent patient restraint and nursing care
- Patient discharges and client education
- Maintaining accurate and thorough medical records
- Collaborating with both the medical and client service teams to provide an exceptional client experience
About You:
- You are a veterinary assistant who is competent, confident, and eager to expand your knowledge.
- You enjoy both client interaction and hands-on patient care.
- You are comfortable answering phones, communicating with clients, and helping families navigate their pet's visit with compassion and professionalism.
- You are familiar with anesthesia, venipuncture, catheter placement, and laboratory sample collection.
- You excel at working independently while also thriving as part of a collaborative team.
- You possess a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and excellent communication skills.
- You remain calm, organized, and compassionate during high-stress situations.
- You enjoy variety and appreciate that each day may include a combination of clinical patient care, client communication, MRI support, and teamwork.
Schedule:
- Full-time (4 days per week)
- Participation in the after-hours surgical on-call schedule is required for all clinical team members.

Starting Pay: From $19.00/hour, depending on experience, skill set, work ethic, and overall qualifications.
