Polished Pediatric Dentistry is a brand-new pediatric dental practice opening in West San Antonio. We're looking for a compassionate, enthusiastic Registered Dental Assistant who loves working with children and wants to help build something special from the very beginning.
Our mission is simple: provide exceptional dental care in a welcoming, fun, and beautiful environment where children feel safe and families feel valued.
Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during a variety of pediatric dental procedures, including exams, cleanings, and X-rays, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Help children feel comfortable and confident throughout their visit.
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up dental equipment, and organizing supplies in accordance to OSHA and CDC guidelines.
- Take digital radiographs and intraoral photographs.
- Manage patient flow by greeting families, verifying medical histories, updating medical records, and scheduling appointments.
- Educate children and their guardians on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment care.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations by safeguarding patient information during all stages of medical documentation and records management.
- Maintain accurate clinical records
- Work closely with our team to create an exceptional patient experience
Qualifications
- A current Texas Registered Dental Assistant (RDA)
- Patient and compassionate with children of all ages
- Organized with excellent attention to detail
- A strong communicator and team player
- Demonstrated proficiency with dental assisting duties including chairside assisting, X-ray taking, and instrument processing
Bonus Qualifications
- Prior experience working in a dental clinic environment, especially with pediatric dentistry
- Coronal polishing certification
- Spanish-speaking
