American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring recent Epic experience and night shift availability in Bakersfield, CA.

Work setting is a 47-bed specialty hospital with three operating rooms and four cardiac catheterization labs
-
Position is in the Emergency Department

Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, 3x12-hour shifts per week

Epic EMR is used; recent experience within the last 12 months is required
-
Active CA RN license required
-
Current AHA BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required

Minimum 3 years of Emergency Department experience required

Recent clinical experience in the ER specialty within the last 3 months required

Recent Epic EMR experience within the last 12 months required
-
Active, unrestricted nursing license with no prior license hits
-
Two supervisor references required: one from within the past year and one from within the past two years
-
BSN preferred

Delivers coordinated nursing care based on established standards and the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation

Supervises and directs assigned nursing staff and coordinates care with other disciplines using critical thinking and independent judgment

Participates in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care and provides health education to patients, families, and the care team

All vaccinations required as a condition of employment per facility policy; medical and religious exemptions may apply

RTO is limited to 5 days or fewer for the duration of the contract
