Position: Executive Chef
Location: Higher-Ed Chef (Nassau County, NY)
Shift Information: Full Availability (Evenings/Weekends when applicable)
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for developing and executing dining solutions to meet customer needs and tastes.
- Oversees and manages all dining operations.
- Engage and develop team members to their fullest potential as well as reward and recognize employees for excellence.
- Plan and lead daily team briefings.
- Ensure safety and sanitation standards in all operations.
- Maintain effective client and customer rapport for mutually beneficial business relationships.
- Demonstrate excellent customer service using standard service model.
- Ensure the completion and maintenance of P&L statements.
- Deliver client and company financial targets.
- Adopt all Lessing processes and systems, understand performance metrics, data, order and inventory trends; educate teams on key levers to improve margins.
- Create value through efficient operations, appropriate cost controls, and profit management.
- Responsible for training and supervision of team members regarding production, quality and control.
- Maintain a safe and healthy environment for clients, customers and employees.
- Comply with all applicable policies, rules and regulations, including but not limited to those relating to safety, health, and wage and hour.
- FOH hospitality experience is a plus, as this role serves as the face of the dining room, engaging with guests, managing service flow, and ensuring an exceptional dining experience from start to finish.
Qualifications:
- 10+years in food management
- BOH Food Certificates

Pay: $75,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
