What You’ll Do
- Conduct mental health screenings and assessments based on medical records and interviews
- Develop, implement, and modify individualized treatment plans
- Document all treatment activities accurately in health records
- Provide mental health counseling and crisis interventions
- Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive information
- Collaborate with team members to deliver effective mental health care
- Address the mental health needs of inmate populations within facility protocols
What You Need
- Valid driver’s license and Social Security Card (for facility clearance)
- Relevant licensure and/or certification (e.g., LPC, LMHP, LCSW, or equivalent preferred)
- Prior experience in mental health counseling or related settings
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle sensitive situations professionally and confidentially
About the Assignment
This role is based at a leading facility in Farmville, VA, specializing in mental health treatment for inmate populations. The position involves conducting assessments, providing counseling, and supporting mental health needs within a secure environment. Work is scheduled during daytime business hours for 8 weeks, with the possibility of extension or similar assignments.
