Overview
We are seeking a motivated and customer-oriented Cashier/Sales associate to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, providing exceptional service while processing transactions and assisting with sales. Your ability to communicate effectively and engage with customers will contribute to a positive shopping experience and drive sales.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them throughout their shopping experience.
- Operate the cash register and handle cash transactions accurately.
- Process sales transactions efficiently using the POS system.
- Engage in upselling techniques to promote additional products and services.
- Maintain knowledge of current promotions, sales, and store policies.
- Handle customer inquiries and provide assistance with product selection.
- Ensure the checkout area is clean, organized, and well-stocked.
- Perform basic math calculations for cash handling and register operations.
- Assist in inventory management by restocking shelves as needed.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in retail sales or cashiering is preferred but not required.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers effectively.
- Basic math skills for handling transactions accurately.
- Familiarity with POS systems and cash registers is a plus.
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
