Part-Time Midday Dog Walker (Employee Position)

This Lil Dog of Mine is hiring dependable, energetic team members to care for our weekly recurring midday dog walking clients.
This is a W-2 employee position with consistent weekday hours.
We are specifically hiring team members who are available Monday through Friday between 10:00 AM–3:00 PM.
What You'll Be Doing
- Walking dogs of all sizes, breeds, and energy levels
- Providing safe, structured midday exercise visits
- Following detailed care instructions for every pet
- Refreshing water bowls and providing basic care during visits
- Sending detailed visit reports and multiple photos through our pet care app
- Using smartphone apps throughout your workday for scheduling, GPS navigation, client notes, messaging, and visit documentation
- Traveling within approximately 10–15 miles of the 78758 area
- Representing TLDOM with professionalism, reliability, and positivity
Because these are recurring weekly clients, you'll build lasting relationships with the same dogs and their families.
This Is a Very Physical Job

This position requires you to:
- Walk several miles throughout your shift
- Safely handle dogs that may pull, jump, or become excited
- Frequently bend, kneel, squat, and stand
- Walk outdoors in all weather conditions, including the Texas summer heat, high humidity, rain, and cold weather
- Move quickly between visits while getting in and out of your vehicle multiple times each day
Many visits take place during the hottest part of the day. You must be comfortable working outside for extended periods in high temperatures while maintaining excellent care for every pet.
Technology Requirements
Our entire business runs through smartphone apps.
You must be comfortable using technology throughout your workday, including:
- GPS navigation
- Mobile scheduling apps
- Uploading photos
- Writing detailed visit reports
- Sending messages to our office
- Following digital care instructions
If you struggle with learning new apps or prefer not to use your phone regularly for work, this position will not be a good fit.
We're Looking For Someone Who
- Is consistently available Monday–Friday between 10:00 AM–3:00 PM
- Is physically active and capable of handling a demanding outdoor job
- Is comfortable walking dogs of all sizes and breeds
- Can confidently manage strong pullers and high-energy dogs
- Is comfortable working outdoors year-round, including in extreme Texas summer heat
- Has hands-on pet care experience (references required)
- Can commit for at least six months
- Has a reliable, insured vehicle and a valid driver's license
- Lives in or near the 78758 area
- Owns a reliable smartphone and is comfortable learning and using multiple mobile apps
- Can pass a background check and complete paid training
