About Ivybrook Academy Solon
Ivybrook Academy is a nationally recognized early childhood program built on a blended philosophy of Reggio Emilia, Montessori, and project-based learning. Our classrooms are intentional learning environments designed to develop the whole child: curious, capable, and confident. We are not a daycare. We are something entirely different.
Our Solon campus opens this year, and we are looking for an Assistant Educator to join our team.
A Place to Grow
This is one of the best places we know of to grow as an early childhood educator. You will work alongside an experienced Lead Educator and a curriculum director who takes teacher development seriously. If your goal is to deepen your craft, learn the Reggio and Montessori approaches in real practice, and grow into a Lead Educator role over time, this is built for that.
What You Will Do
- Support the Lead Educator in creating and maintaining a beautiful, intentional classroom environment
- Help carry out daily curriculum grounded in Reggio Emilia, Montessori, and project-based learning
- Build warm, attentive relationships with every child in the room
- Support smooth daily routines, transitions, mealtimes, and outdoor time
- Partner with families through everyday warmth and connection
- Learn and grow through hands-on mentorship from your Lead Educator and our curriculum director
Who We Are Looking For
We hire for passion and character first. Credentials matter, but they are not the whole picture.
The right person:
- Sees early childhood education as a calling, not a job
- Holds a firm belief in the image of the child as capable, curious, and full of potential
- Brings warmth, patience, and genuine attentiveness to children
- Is eager to learn and grow, and takes feedback as a gift
- Has a pattern of going one step beyond what was required
- Is a true team player who makes the room better
Qualifications
- Coursework or a degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field preferred; candidates with equivalent experience encouraged to apply
- Experience working with young children in a group setting is a plus
- A genuine desire to grow into the Ivybrook approach
- Ohio BCII/FBI background check clearance required before start
- Current CPR/First Aid certification or ability to obtain before start
Compensation
- Starting salary $21,000 to $23,250 per year for morning sessions, paid in 12 equal monthly installments year-round
- Salary grows to $31,500 to $34,500 as afternoon sessions launch and your classroom load expands
- Salary continues through all school breaks, holidays, and summer closure. You are paid year-round, not just when school is in session
- The same full bonus structure our Lead Educators receive: tenure bonuses, enrollment milestone bonuses, referral bonuses, credential advancement bonuses, and more
- Three paid personal days per year, in addition to all paid breaks
- 25% tuition discount for your children enrolled at Ivybrook Solon
- A monthly health insurance stipend is available for educators who need coverage
- 401(k) and health insurance planned as enrollment grows
Schedule
Morning sessions run Monday through Friday, approximately 7:45 AM to 12:30 PM. Hours and salary grow as afternoon sessions launch.
Our Leadership Team
You will work directly with a Director of Enrollment and Operations and a Director of Curriculum and Educator Development, both experienced and well-regarded leaders in the Northeast Ohio early childhood community. This is a collaborative, supportive environment built intentionally from day one, and a place where a developing educator is genuinely invested in.
Pay: $21,000.00 - $23,250.00 per year
