JOB SUMMARY:
As an Exp Lab Technician, you will play a crucial role in conducting validation, tests, and analyses. You will work
closely with the Quality Eng Technical Lead, production associates and engineers to ensure accurate and reliable
data collection, and the effectiveness of the Quality Management System
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform laboratory tests, and analyses according to established procedures and protocolsRecord and analyze data, prepare reports, and present findings to the Quality Eng Technical Lead.
- Support to coordinate external calibrations, perform gage calibration, track calibration due and schedule
- calibration, as needed.
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized laboratory environment.
- Assist in the development and improvement of laboratory improvements, procedures and protocols.
- Maintain excel databases according to test results, SharePoint sites and trend charts.
- Audit the control plan and report any deviations, as needed.
- Provide assistance on QMS activities such as document control and internal audits.
- Performing testing as per plant in house procedures, customer specific requirements and regulatory requirements (CE, NFPA, ASTM / EN, etc.), as applicable.attention to detail and accuracy are requirements of this position. Any mistakes made could lead tosevere process problems and financial loss. Once trained the Exp Quality Engineering Lab Technician willwork with minimal supervision.
- Assist in writing and revising Standard work.
- Assist QC department to help cover during vacations, absences etc., as needed.
- Commitment to plant 5S and continual improvement initiatives.
- Back up Quality Eng Technical Lead, as needed.
- The Exp Quality Engineering Lab Technician is a vital person in the Lab / QMS program. Extremely close
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience working in a laboratory setting.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow protocols and procedures.
- Good organizational skills.
- Strong computer skills
- Advance excel skills
- ISO-9001 / QMS knowledge
- ASTM knowledge is a plus
