Duties
- Create a warm, welcoming atmosphere that encourages children’s exploration and learning through age-appropriate activities and play.
- Supervise children at all times to ensure safety and well-being, implementing proper child supervision techniques.
- Develop and implement educational activities focused on childhood development, early childhood education principles, and classroom management strategies.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress, behavior, and daily experiences to foster strong partnerships.
- Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that adheres to health and safety standards, including knowledge of pediatric first aid and CPR procedures.
- Follow mandated reporting laws by accurately documenting incidents or concerns related to child welfare.
- Support children with special needs or disabilities by adapting activities and providing inclusive caregiving tailored to individual requirements.
Qualifications
- Prior experience working with children in daycare centers, preschools, babysitting, nannying, or similar settings is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of child development instruction, childhood development milestones, and behavior management techniques.
- Certification in first aid and CPR (pediatric first aid preferred), with the ability to respond swiftly in emergencies.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special education needs is a plus.
- Strong classroom experience with toddlers and infants, demonstrating effective classroom management skills.
- Familiarity with mandated reporting laws and early childhood education best practices.
- Excellent communication skills for parent interaction and teamwork within a childcare environment.
