A well-established, iconic neighborhood bar in Pacific Heights is seeking a talented and
creative Kitchen Manager / Executive Chef to lead the development of a fresh, modern bar-
focused food program.
This is an exciting opportunity for a chef who wants to collaborate directly with ownership
to create and execute a distinctive menu that complements one of San Francisco's most
beloved hospitality venues.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with ownership to develop and evolve a modern bar menu
- Hire, train, schedule, and manage all kitchen staff
- Oversee daily kitchen operations and service execution
- Manage food purchasing, vendor relationships, and inventory
- Control food and labor costs while maintaining quality standards
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation requirements
- Maintain consistency, creativity, and profitability across the food program
- Foster a positive, professional kitchen culture
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an Executive Chef, Sous Chef, or Kitchen Manager
- Strong culinary skills with a passion for contemporary American bar food
- Experience creating menus and costing recipes
- Demonstrated ability to manage labor, food costs, and kitchen budgets
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Experience hiring, training, and motivating staff
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced hospitality environment
Schedule
- Open seven nights per week
- Weekend breakfast and brunch service
- Full-time position with significant creative input and growth opportunity
