We are looking for an experienced and safety focused Forklift Operator to join our team. As a Forklift Operator, you will be operating a forklift while ensuring efficiency and safety to yourself, co-workers and property. You may be required to work hours scheduled including overtime and weekends.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Unload and upload material in a safe manner
- Identify damages to material and property
- Report shortages to supervisor
- Report quality deficiencies of material and goods
- Transport raw materials to production workstations
- Inspect forklift daily leak, breakage, tires, horn, back-up beeper and etc..
- Comply with company policies and procedures
- Assist in keeping a safe environment
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience as forklift operator
- Attention to detail
- Must have good math skills
- Good knowledge of forklifts
- Very good physical condition
- Excellent coordination
- Good decision-making skills
- Great interpersonal and communication skills
- Work well with others and alone
- High school diploma
- Must pass drug screen
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to climb into and out of large forklift safely.
- Continuously stand, squat, hear, see, bend, stoop, grip, twist, climb, reach, walk, write, and kneel; push/pull up to 50 lbs, and lift/ carry up to 50 lbs. without assistance.
- This position may occasionally require working day, evening or weekend shifts.
- Work 8-10 hour shifts in an uncontrolled temperature environment up to 6 days per week, with frequent exposure to rain, sunshine, dust, pollen, and non-toxic airborne particulates.
