*Job Summary*
We are seeking an Optometric Technician to join our team for 3 days per week(24hours). The ideal candidate will assist our optometrists in providing excellent eye care services to our patients.
*Responsibilities*
- Conduct preliminary tests on patients such as visual acuity, color vision, depth perception, and peripheral vision
- Perform diagnostic tests including measuring eye pressure and corneal curvature
- Assist with contact lens fittings and instructions for wear and care
- Maintain accurate patient records and input data into electronic medical records systems
- Prepare examination rooms and ensure all necessary equipment is ready for patient use
- Educate patients on proper eye health procedures and the proper use of prescribed medications
*Requirements*
- Knowledge of medical coding, billing, and terminology
- Experience with patient care and taking vital signs
- Familiarity with optical procedures and equipment
- Ability to work in a medical office setting and handle medical records accurately
- Certification as an Optometric Technician is a plus but not required. We will train the right candidate
Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
