Dermatology Office Manager — Salt Lake Dermatology & Aesthetics, PC
Location: Salt Lake City, UT (250 East 300 South, Suite 120)

Salt Lake Dermatology & Aesthetics, PC is a dermatology practice dedicated to excellence, trust, and warmth in patient care. We're seeking an experienced Office Manager to oversee daily operations, support our front desk team, and serve as a key liaison between patients, staff, and our billing partners.
Position Summary
The Office Manager is responsible for the smooth day-to-day operation of the front office, including patient services, billing coordination, staff scheduling and supervision, and general administrative support for the practice. This role requires strong medical office experience and familiarity with billing/coding terminology. Dermatology experience is a plus but not required.
Key Responsibilities
Patient Services & Billing
- Confirm insurance eligibility and benefits for scheduled patients
- Address patient billing questions and account issues
- Serve as the primary point of contact with our medical billing company to resolve claims and billing concerns
Front Desk & Staff Management
- Supervise and schedule front desk staff and medical assistants
- Create and maintain staffing schedules to minimize gaps in coverage and manage PTO requests
- Implement office policies and procedures (not just enforce them)
- Provide training and guidance to front desk team members
Administrative Operations
- Triage incoming mail and route appropriately
- Prepare bank deposit slips
- Coordinate hiring processes for future staff, including scheduling and conducting interviews
- Assist with other administrative and office needs as they arise
Qualifications
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in patient services within a medical office setting (required)
- Working knowledge of medical coding and billing terminology (required)
- Proficiency with practice management/EMR software and productivity software such as Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Gmail) (required)
- Dermatology or specialty practice experience (preferred, not required)
- Experience supervising or coordinating staff schedules
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Comfortable working with insurance verification processes and billing software
- Professional, patient-focused demeanor
Physical Requirements
- Ongoing need to see and read information, review documents, assess staffing and scheduling needs, and operate computer systems and office equipment.
- Frequent interactions with patients, staff, and providers that require verbal communication, as well as the ability to hear and understand spoken information accurately, including during time-sensitive or high-pressure situations.
- Manual dexterity of hands and fingers for frequent computer use and typing, including data entry, billing tasks, and documentation.
- May be expected to bend, reach, and lift light to moderate items (such as mail, office supplies, or files), typically under 25 lbs.
- Need to walk periodically throughout the office to coordinate with front desk staff, providers, and other team members.
- May be expected to sit or stand in a stationary position for extended periods, depending on task.
