Claims Supervisor (Temporary Assignment)
Pay Rate: $30.00 per hour

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Claims Supervisor to support a Provider Services Claims Unit during a temporary staffing need due to a team member on leave. This role will oversee daily claims operations, support staff performance, and ensure timely and accurate processing of provider claims in alignment with agency standards and regulatory requirements.
The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership experience in claims, billing, or reimbursement environments and will be able to maintain productivity, compliance, and team efficiency in a fast-paced setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise the processing, review, calculation, payment, and reporting of monthly provider claims in accordance with established policies, regulations, and contractual guidelines
- Lead and support Claims Unit staff to ensure timely completion of monthly payment deadlines and operational goals
- Establish work priorities, monitor productivity, and implement best practices to improve workflow efficiency
- Conduct monthly team meetings and coordinate training to support staff development and performance improvement
- Assist with performance evaluations and ongoing staff coaching
- Participate in provider workshops and training sessions as needed
- Ensure accuracy, compliance, and consistency in all claims processing activities
- Perform additional duties as assigned by department leadership
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Human Services, or related field preferred (relevant experience may substitute for education)
- Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience in a claims, billing, or reimbursement environment
- Experience working with provider-based services, childcare programs, or publicly funded social service programs strongly preferred
- Strong understanding of billing procedures, claims processing, and compliance standards
- Ability to lead teams, manage deadlines, and maintain operational accuracy under pressure
