Mothership Boutique is a small, locally owned business focused on giving items a second life. We specialize in curated clothing, plants, handmade goods, vintage finds, custom apparel, home décor, books, games, collectibles, and other unique items. Our mission is simple: create, repair, grow, reimagine, and reuse. We believe great products don't always need to be brand new, and we're passionate about keeping quality items in circulation while offering affordable and unique finds to our customers.
Position Overview :
We're looking for a reliable, knowledgeable, detail-oriented assistant to help with the day-to-day operations of our growing online business.
This role is ideal for a student looking for summer work, someone who enjoys organization, and wants to learn about inventory management, online selling, photography, packaging orders, and working in a creative small business environment.
No prior resale experience is required, but experience
Responsibilities:
- Photograph clothing, plants, handmade items, and inventory
- Create and edit online product listings
- Measure, tag, and organize inventory
- Assist with inventory intake and sorting
- Package and prepare customer orders for shipment
- Print shipping labels and process outgoing packages
- Maintain organized inventory storage systems
- Assist with product quality inspections
- Help identify brands, styles, and product details
- Organize supplies and workspace areas
- Assist with basic social media content and merchandising as needed
- Support special projects and seasonal inventory changes
Qualifications:
- Reliable transportation
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently Comfortable using smartphones and using platforms such as eBay, Facebook Marketplace, Poshmark, Vinted, Depop, etc.. a familiarity with WIX, Airtable and Excel Spreadsheets is a bonus!
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds occasionally
- Strong organizational skills
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
