Duties
- Provide a range of hair services including cutting, coloring, styling, and hair extensions.
- Utilize knowledge of color theory to achieve desired results for clients.
- Perform hair threading and nail care services as needed.
- Maintain sanitation standards in accordance with salon policies and state regulations.
- Use salon software such as MINDBODY for scheduling appointments and managing client records.
- Assist with front desk duties, including greeting clients and managing retail sales.
- Mentor junior stylists and provide guidance on techniques and customer service best practices.
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and preferences.
- Upsell products and services to enhance the client experience.
- Stay updated on the latest trends in hairstyling, makeup application, and eyelash extensions.
Requirements
- Valid cosmetology or barbering license required.
- Proven experience in hair styling with a strong portfolio showcasing your work.
- Familiarity with salon software systems, particularly MINDBODY.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members.
- Knowledge of retail math to assist in managing inventory and sales goals.
- Ability to perform straight razor techniques safely and effectively.
- Experience in customer service with a focus on creating a welcoming environment for clients.
- Passion for mentoring others and sharing knowledge within the team.
