The University College at The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) is seeking applications for a Part-Time (adjunct) Lecturer to teach UNIV 1301 – Foundations of Academic and Career Success. This first-year course, which is a part of UTRGV’s Student Success and Retention Initiatives, focuses on research-based findings, sense of belonging, academic success, critical self-reflection, and adaptable career planning as applied to a first-year student’s university experience.
The position is a part-time appointment beginning in the Fall of 2026. The selected applicant(s) may teach multiple sections of UNIV 1301 – Foundations of Academic and Career Success using research-based teaching methodologies. S/He will be expected to teach on both or either the Edinburg and/or Brownsville campuses. The applicant(s) will be expected to maintain appropriate office hours, and fulfill other responsibilities required of a part-time lecturer at The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley.
