Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Tile Installer to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing a variety of flooring and wall tiles, ensuring precise craftsmanship and adherence to safety standards. Responsibilities
- Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, blueprints, and construction plans to determine tile layout and installation procedures.
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, leveling, and applying necessary primers or adhesives for optimal tile adhesion.
- Install various types of flooring including epoxy floors, vinyl floors, hardwood, carpet, and tile with precision and attention to detail.
- Use hand tools and power tools safely to cut, shape, and set tiles according to project specifications.
- Perform floor refinishing, caulking, trim carpentry, and fixture installation to complete the finished look of each project.
- Conduct water damage restoration tasks and floor care maintenance to ensure longevity of installed materials.
- Follow all building installation safety protocols and industry standards to maintain a safe working environment on-site.
Qualifications
- Proven five years experience in construction estimating, building material installation, or related roles within the restoration or remodeling industries.
- Skilled in handling hand tools and power tools used for tile laying, flooring installation, carpentry, and concrete finishing.
- Knowledge of interpreting technical drawings, schematics, blueprints, and construction plans.
- Familiarity with epoxy floor installation, water damage restoration, flooring installation (including vinyl, hardwood, carpet), and floor refinishing techniques.
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely while working on construction sites with diverse materials.
- Prior experience with fixture installation, cabinet installation, painting, buffing, caulking, trim carpentry, and remodeling projects is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of building installation safety compliance standards across various construction environments.
