Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced, licensed Speech Therapist to join our team! As a Speech Therapist, you will be meeting with new patients and creating personalized treatment plans to help them reach their goals. You will also be documenting all patient care, observing and participating in treatment, and adjusting goals and milestones as needed for the best possible outcomes. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of speech pathology, is able to provide compassionate care to every patient, and has excellent organizational skills.
Duties
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate speech, language, and communication abilities. (SLP)
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment results and patient needs.
- Implement therapeutic interventions to improve speech clarity, language comprehension, and social communication skills.
- Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to create and modify Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students requiring special services.
- Provide early intervention services to children with developmental delays in communication.
- Educate families about communication disorders and strategies to support their child's development at home.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress and treatment outcomes.
- Stay updated on best practices in speech therapy, medical terminology, anatomy knowledge, and physiology knowledge relevant to the field.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's /Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Valid state licensure or certification as a Speech Language Pathologist.
- Experience working with children in educational or clinical settings is preferred.
- Knowledge of acute care practices is a plus.
- Familiarity with pediatric speech therapy techniques and early intervention strategies.
- Strong understanding of anatomy knowledge related to speech production and communication processes.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with patients, families, and colleagues. This position is ideal for dedicated professionals passionate about making a difference in the lives of individuals with communication challenges.
