Installer (Millwright/Rigger/Welder): Installation of equipment, ductwork, heavy rigging, working at heights on man lifts, operate forklifts. Requires out of town work. Able to work overtime, weekends, holiday weekends due to customer shutdowns. Able to work with hand and power tools. Work on customer sites safety and understand OSHA regulations. Excellent work ethic and desire to advance. Valid driver’s license required.
Qualifications and Skills
Welding and Rigging experience preferred. Able to communicate professionally to customers, work well under pressure.
- OSHA and/or NCCO Rigging Certification preferred.
- Structural Welding Certification preferred. (MIG/TIG/SMAW)
- Proficient in forklift operation (OSHA certification preferred).
- Able to develop basic rigging plans and adhere to designed methods and procedures.
- Able to set, align and level heavy equipment and/or machinery
- Proficient in inspecting and preparing loads that need to be moved
- Able to select the appropriate gear and rigging equipment for the job
- Able to properly attach rigging gear, slings, cables, spreader bars, etc.
- Proficient in directing the crane or heavy equipment operator with hand signals and voice commands.
- Proficient in inspecting rigging to ensure safety and reliability
- Able to assemble and install rigging gear such as cables, ropes, pulleys, and winches to lift, lower, move or position machinery, equipment and structural parts
- Adheres to safety procedures and regulations, including wearing personal protective equipment and ensuring that colleagues and bystanders are safe during rigging operations
- Able to maintain and repairing rigging equipment as needed
