What You’ll Do:
- Provide postop care for patients from all surgical specialties, including pediatric and adult populations
- Float to pediatric PACU as needed, supporting high-volume pediatric cases
- Monitor and care for patients in pre-op, Phase I, and Phase II recovery units
- Utilize equipment such as Hoyer lifts, bladder scanners, and Accuvein for patient care
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe and efficient recovery
- Support patients undergoing regional anesthesia, ECT, and other procedures
- Maintain patient safety and comfort in a fast-paced environment with a patient ratio of 1:2
What You Need:
- Valid RN license in Louisiana or comparable state
- ACLS, BCLS, PALS certifications (current)
- Minimum of 1 year of PACU or Pre/Post-Op experience
- Experience with Epic EMR system preferred
- Ability to float between units and adapt to varying patient needs
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
