SUMMARY:
This position is primarily responsible for guaranteeing the reliability of GCS wafers conforming to industry standards. This position is also responsible for leading the improvement and monitoring of GCS process reliability.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Performs equipment qualification, SPEC tests & material inspections of semiconductor components to documented requirements (e.g. work instructions, engineering procedures, inspection criteria, etc.)

Processes material and/or product as instructed in departmental procedures and/or specified process instructions (e.g., material move transactions in Eyelit non-conforming material reports, data entry for trending or statistical analysis tools, record retention, etc.

Communicates regularly with department supervisor.

Verifies conformance to design and quality standards, identifying those items that are below standard.

Prepares visual rejection forms for all items that do not meet specifications and maintain other required documentation.

Updates computerized records.

Completes equipment and quality assurance checklists.

Notifies supervisor of significant quality problems and may suggest corrective action.

Maintains a neat, clean & orderly workstation and adjacent areas.

Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

QUALIFICATIONS:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or one to three months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
