We understand grooming is a stressful experience for dogs so we make it our goal to minimize stress as much as possible. We want our dogs to enjoy coming to their spaw days. We do not push dogs past their limits here, they are all treated with respect and love.
Duties:
- Maintain a calm working environment
- Groom dogs according to specific breed standards /customer preferences
- Clean grooming tools and equipment
- Observe dogs for any signs of health issues or abnormalities
- Provide basic grooming services such as nail trimming, ear cleaning & anal gland expression
- Ensure the safety and well-being of the dogs during the grooming process
- Communicate with pet owners at drop off and pick-up
Requirements:
- At least 1 year experience with all dog breeds
- Knowledge of different grooming techniques and breed-specific cuts
- Strong animal handling skills, including the ability to safely restrain dogs during grooming procedures. As well as, understanding their behavior and knowing when to give them breaks. -Dog bathing experience -Stamina to groom several dogs per day (small, medium or large)
- Familiarity with various grooming tools and equipment (MUST HAVE YOUR OWN GROOMING TOOLS)
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to accurately follow client instructions
- Good communication skills to interact with pet owners and understand their needs
- Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment while keeping the stress level of the dog as minimal as possible.
