This role focuses on supporting approximately 30 students, with a caseload that leans more toward indirect services than direct therapy. Serving as a part-time SLP, you will collaborate closely with educators and families to create positive outcomes for students during the upcoming school year.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Valid SLP license in the state of Kansas, or eligibility to obtain
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or completing Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY)
- Previous experience in school-based SLP settings, with preference for candidates familiar with teletherapy and pediatric populations
- Strong documentation, report-writing, and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively with middle and high school students, including those receiving indirect services
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate, diagnose, and develop individualized treatment plans for students with speech, language, and communication needs
- Deliver both direct and consultative SLP services as appropriate
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and parents to optimize student success
- Maintain compliance with IEP goals, Medicaid billing (if applicable), and district requirements
- Adapt therapy methods to teletherapy platforms when needed
- Contribute to IEP meetings and support overall team initiatives
