We are looking for an energetic individual to lead our Crema Gourmet Thesis location across from UM. This beautiful store opened in December 2024 and our current manager is being promoted to another store. We operate 8 Crema Gourmet franchises in South Florida and we hope you are interested in joining us!
The pay for this position is $55,000-$60,000/yr and it is a 45 hour work week. Parking at Hotel included.
Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and motivated Cafe General Manager to lead our Crema Thesis team. In this pivotal role, you will oversee daily operations, ensure exceptional customer service, and drive the overall success of the cafe. Your leadership will foster a welcoming environment, uphold food safety standards, and optimize operational efficiency. Duties
- Lead and manage all aspects of cafe operations, including staff scheduling, shift management, and ensuring smooth daily workflows
- Oversee food preparation, cooking, and food handling to maintain high-quality standards and compliance with food safety regulations
- Utilize POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for order processing, cash handling, and sales reconciliation
- Control inventory levels through effective stock management, ordering, and waste reduction strategies
- Train and develop staff on customer service excellence, food safety practices, and operational procedures
- Supervise kitchen activities, ensuring efficient food production and adherence to culinary standards
- Analyze profit and loss statements to identify opportunities for revenue growth and cost control
Skills
- Proven experience in quick service or fast food restaurant management with strong knowledge of food preparation and kitchen operations
- Extensive background in hospitality management with expertise in supervising teams and managing restaurant or cafe environments
- Proficiency with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for transactions and reporting
- Strong understanding of inventory control, food safety management, and budget oversight
- Excellent managerial communication skills coupled with the ability to train, motivate, and lead diverse teams
- Demonstrated ability in managing hospitality teams within casual dining or fine dining settings; banquet or catering experience is a plus
- Competence in handling cash transactions accurately along with basic math skills for financial reconciliation
- Experience in managing food industry operations including culinary tasks like cooking, food production, and catering services
- Knowledge of food safety standards, health regulations, and food handling procedures
- Effective leadership skills with a focus on team training & development, performance management, and fostering a positive work environment
