SUMMARY:
Join the Accounting team at Shore Lodge and Whitetail Club, one of Idaho's premier luxury resort destinations. We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Staff Accountant who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys solving problems, supporting operations, and ensuring financial accuracy across a dynamic hospitality organization. In this role, you'll play a key part in maintaining the financial health of both the resort and private club by managing account reconciliations, supporting month-end processes, assisting with financial reporting, and serving as a trusted resource for department leaders. The ideal candidate is highly organized, self-motivated, proficient in Excel, and comfortable working independently while collaborating across multiple departments.

WHAT YOU GET TO DO:
· Reconcile relevant bank accounts in Great Plains/MS Dynamics
· Post daily bank activity including cash and check deposits as well as vendor ACH payments and other A/R payments in Great Plains/MS Dynamics.
· Collect and post all deposits for groups.
· Prepare and post month-end recurring and other adjusting journal entries
· Prepare and send group billing through coordination with Catering and Banquet Management team.
· Follow up calls on all delinquent group accounts.
· Collect and maintain all pertinent backup for group billings.
· Prepare and maintain monthly reconciliations of Cash, Accounts Receivable, Prepaids and Income Accounts for Shore Lodge, Whitetail Club, Whitetail Real Estate and Whitetail Property Owners Association (POA).
· Provide support to General Cashier and A/P Staff as needed.
· Perform & Complete other accounting duties, special projects and tasks as assigned by Accounting Manager
· Perform all accounting functions in accordance with proper internal control procedures
WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:
· College degree in Accounting / Finance preferred.
· Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience.
· Understand accounting concepts including debits/credits, chart of accounts, general ledger reconciliations, and journal entries.
· Experience in hospitality or resort accounting highly desirable.
· Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving ability.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with competent abilities in Excel spreadsheet manipulation.
· Strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.
· Prioritize and organize work assignments.
· Maintain clear and accurate records for all adjustments posted
· Previous experience and/or familiarity with Great Plains / Dynamics Accounting Software preferred.
· Working knowledge of Agilysys, GolfPro or other Point of Sale systems.
