Accounting to Scale is looking for an experienced Accounting Specialist to join our growing Miami team.
We are looking for someone who is detail-oriented, organized, dependable, and enjoys working with numbers while helping business owners better understand their finances.
This is not a data-entry-only position. You will work directly with the accounting needs of small and growing businesses, supporting everything from day-to-day bookkeeping and reconciliations to payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and month-end close.

This is a full-time, in-office position in Miami, Florida. This position is not remote or hybrid.
What You'll Be Doing
As an Accounting Specialist, you will help manage the ongoing accounting needs of multiple clients. Responsibilities include:
- Record, categorize, and review transactions in QuickBooks Online
- Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations
- Support month-end close procedures
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
- Prepare and send client invoices
- Process checks, ACH payments, and wire payments on behalf of clients
- Assist with payroll processing and payroll tax payments
- Assist with preparing sales tax returns
- Maintain and update Excel and Google Sheets schedules
- Compile financial reports for clients
- Communicate with clients and vendors regarding accounting-related items
- Identify and communicate missing information and open items
- Maintain accurate and organized client documentation
- Work closely with senior accountants and managers to meet monthly deadlines
What We're Looking ForRequired
- 2–4 years of accounting and/or bookkeeping experience
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on QuickBooks Online experience
- Strong experience with bank and credit card reconciliations
- Understanding of basic accounting principles
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to manage multiple clients, responsibilities, and deadlines
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Comfortable working with Google Workspace, Google Drive, Google Sheets, and Excel
- Reliable, organized, accountable, and willing to learn
Preferred
- Accounts payable and accounts receivable experience
- Payroll processing experience
- Month-end close experience
- Sales tax preparation experience
- Experience working in an accounting firm or managing multiple business clients
