Gonzales Healthcare Systems has immediate PRN openings for the position of Med/Surg Licensed Vocational Nurse.
As an associate of Gonzales Healthcare Systems, you will have the opportunity to provide care to patients under the direction of a registered nurse and/or physician, functioning within your scope of license. The LVN will:

contribute to the assessment of patients and assure their well-being

administer medications and observe patients for adverse reactions to medications and/or treatments

perform laboratory tests and therapeutic services

educate patients/families about disease treatment plan including self-care post-discharge, holistic health needs, available resources, and follow up care
PRN positions available for both 7a-7p and 7p-7a shifts
Licensed Vocational Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing
BLS, ACLS, and PALS credentialed from the American Heart Association; ACLS and PALS to be obtained within 6 months of date of hire or transfer
One year of LVN experience in a hospital setting preferred

Our facility is a 33-bed general hospital providing in-patient acute care to the residents of Gonzales County. The hospital offers a wide range of services including obstetrics, in-patient and outpatient therapy services, diagnostic imaging including CT, MRI and Digital Mammography, full-service laboratory, general and orthopedic surgery, and has a Level IV Trauma Designation.
