American Electrical Contracting is seeking an experienced Electrical Foreman / Superintendent to join our growing Construction Division.
This leadership role is responsible for overseeing commercial electrical construction projects, leading field teams, coordinating manpower and materials, maintaining jobsite safety, and ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.

What You'll Do
- Lead and supervise field crews on commercial electrical construction projects
- Coordinate manpower, materials, equipment, and daily jobsite activities
- Ensure crews are operating safely, properly utilizing required PPE, and following company safety policies, OSHA requirements, and jobsite-specific safety standards
- Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, schedules, and electrical drawings
- Plan work activities and prioritize tasks to maintain project schedules
- Ensure installations meet project specifications, company quality expectations, and National Electrical Code (NEC) requirements
- Coordinate with Project Managers, customers, subcontractors, inspectors, vendors, and other trades
- Monitor labor productivity and support project budget goals
- Mentor and develop Apprentices, Electricians, and field team members
- Lead by example in maintaining a strong safety culture and reinforcing safe work practices at all times
- Identify and resolve field challenges proactively
- Ensure accurate job documentation, material tracking, and reporting
- Maintain clean, organized, and professional job sites
- Support a positive team culture focused on accountability, professionalism, craftsmanship, and safety
What We're Looking For
- 7+ years of commercial electrical construction experience preferred
- Prior Foreman, Lead Electrician, or Superintendent experience strongly preferred
- Strong understanding of commercial electrical systems and installation practices
- Working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC)
- Ability to read blueprints, specifications, and project schedules
- Strong leadership and crew development abilities
- Experience coordinating manpower and managing field production
- Demonstrated commitment to safety leadership and accountability
- Ability to recognize hazards, reinforce safety expectations, and build a culture where employees feel comfortable reporting concerns
- Strong communication and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced construction environments
- Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience leading large commercial electrical projects
- Experience mentoring Apprentices and developing field talent
- OSHA training or safety leadership experience
- Experience with project technology platforms and digital documentation systems
