Mechanical Engineer (MEP Consulting) – Hybrid

We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our growing MEP engineering team. This hybrid opportunity offers the flexibility to work both remotely and in the office while contributing to the design of innovative building systems for a wide range of exciting projects.
You'll collaborate with experienced engineers, designers, and project managers to deliver high-quality mechanical designs for some of the region's most challenging and rewarding projects.
What You'll Do:
- Design HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical building systems for a variety of commercial and institutional projects
- Prepare engineering calculations, construction drawings, specifications, and technical reports
- Develop HVAC load calculations, equipment selections, and ductwork and piping layouts
- Coordinate mechanical designs with electrical, plumbing, structural, and architectural disciplines
- Participate in client meetings, project coordination, and design reviews
- Assist with construction administration, including responding to RFIs, reviewing submittals, and conducting site visits
- Ensure designs comply with applicable building, mechanical, and energy codes
- Work closely with project teams to deliver projects on schedule and within budget
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- 2+ years of mechanical design experience in an MEP consulting environment
- Experience designing HVAC and mechanical building systems
- Proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit
- Strong understanding of building codes, mechanical codes, and energy codes
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
- EIT certification is preferred but not required
