Service Technician, John Deere Stihl Exmark outdoor power equipment (Cincinnati) *** NO FLAT RATE ! *** Get paid for every hour you at the dealership ! Service dept is very busy all year long.
Bud Herbert Motors, Cincinnati's largest John Deere turf dealer is currently seeking a full-time service technician.
Purpose
Perform diagnostics, service repairs and maintenance work on customer and/or dealer-owned turf equipment to include riding mowers, zero turn mowers, utility vehicles and compact utility tractors . May require some direction or guidance from the Service Manager or Shop Foreman.
Responsibilities
● Performs diagnostics and repairs on John Deere, Exmark, Stihl, Honda, and all brands of equipment sold and serviced by the dealership.
● Accountable for billable time and assigned work orders
● Responsible for complete and thorough documentation of diagnostics and repairs performed on work orders
● May participate in factroy Training programs required for the development of skills
● Maintains a clean work area and performs work in a neat and orderly fashion
● Follows all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments
Experience, Education, Skills and Knowledge
● Experience performing service repairs on outdoor power equipment
● Experience performing service repairs on diesel engines preferred but not required
● Experience with the mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems used in outdoor power equipment
● Experience with basic computer functions and computer based diagnostic repair tools preferred
● Experience communicating effectively verbally and in writing
● Must own an adequate set of tools to perform job responsibilities
● High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience preferred but not required
● Valid driver’s license or ID required / reliable transportation a must
● Ability to lift at least 75 lbs. repeatedly
