Are you energetic, reliable, and passionate about working with kids? Snapology of Burlington, Danvers, Fitchburg and Westwood is looking for a Part-Time Program Instructor to lead engaging, hands-on programs that inspire children to build, create, collaborate, and solve problems.

What You'll Do
Lead Engaging Programs
Teach fun, hands-on enrichment programs using Snapology's provided curriculum, LEGO® Bricks, robotics, and other interactive learning tools. Instruct and monitor students in the use of learning materials and equipment, in a fun and engaging way to promote creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving. All materials, lesson plans, & paid training is provided! Facilitate Snapology programs for groups of up to 20 students (age 6-12), through curriculum-guided engineering and/or robotics activities
Inspire Young BuildersCreate a positive, encouraging environment where children build confidence, creativity, collaboration, and problem-solving skills through hands-on experiences.
Facilitate Memorable ExperiencesLead programs at local schools, libraries, and community partner locations, adapting activities for children ages 4–14.
Represent Snapology
Build positive relationships with children, families, schools, and community partners while maintaining a safe, organized, and welcoming learning environment. Communicate with parents via Snapology systems, including photos, videos and insights about daily activities
Prepare & Wrap Up
Adequately prepare for each program by reading curriculum, watching training videos and/or participating in face-to-face training sessions & staff meetings. Set up materials before each program and clean up afterward to ensure every learning space is ready for the next group.
What We’re Looking For
One or more years of experience working with children in a tutoring, camp, child-care, classroom or camp environment is required. Candidates with less experience will be considered for an assistant role. Education degree or teaching experience recommended, teachers pursuing a degree in education will also be considered for this position. Teaching certification is not required.
- Friendly, outgoing personality with excellent communication skills
- Confident group-leadership and behavior-management skills
- Comfortable leading activities independently after completing training
- Driver's license, reliable personal vehicle, and current insurance to transport materials: Reliable transportation to the Snapology Discovery Center and local partner locations is essential
- Ability to lift and carry up to 20 pounds
- Current Adult and Pediatric CPR, AED, and First Aid certification—or willingness to obtain the required certification after hire
- Dependable, punctual, organized, energetic, and enthusiastic
- Excellent time and classroom management skills
- Comfortable working with LEGO bricks and technology; Familiarity with coding and robotics preferred
- Current Criminal Offender Record Information CORI (background checks and fingerprinting)
Hours:
Weekly hours vary depending on scheduled programming, enrollment, and the employee’s availability for additional shifts. Additional hours may be available for daytime field trips, homeschool programs, camps, workshops, birthday parties, inventory management and special events. Daytime availability is helpful but not required.
Location: You will be placed at an off-site, partner location. Depending on the week, you will be in different locations (close to your residence). We have partners in locations throughout MA such as Acton, Canton, Carlisle, Concord, Danvers, Groton, Lynnfield, North Chelmsford, Sterling, Wellesley, Wilmington, Winthrop, Woburn and Westford.
Pay:
Lead Instructors paid between $23-$27/hour, based on experience and qualifications
Teaching Assistants paid between $15-$20/hour, based on experience and qualifications.
