Duties
- Perform professional massage therapy sessions utilizing techniques such as deep tissue massage and trigger point therapy to address individual client needs
- Conduct patient assessments to determine appropriate treatment plans based on physiology knowledge and medical history
- Educate clients on self-care practices, occupational health, and pain management strategies to support ongoing wellness
- Maintain detailed records of treatments provided, patient responses, and progress notes in accordance with medical terminology standards
- Ensure a safe, hygienic environment by adhering to all health regulations and sanitation protocols
- Provide exceptional customer service by listening attentively to client concerns and customizing treatments accordingly
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals or med spa staff to optimize patient care outcomes
Requirements
- Women preferable
- English, Spanish and Portuguese is a plus
- Proven experience in patient service, patient assessment, and applying advanced massage techniques such as deep tissue massage and trigger point therapy
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology relevant to massage therapy
- Familiarity with occupational health principles and pain management methods
- Provides Deep Tissue Massage, Swedish massage, Hot Stones, Lymphatic Drainage, Wood Therapy and more
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to create a calming, professional environment
- Prior med spa experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided for specific protocols
- Ability to communicate effectively with diverse clients and team members while maintaining confidentiality
