Position Summary:
Dredging and Marine Project Manager/Superintendent
American Dredging and Environmental Services LLC is looking for an experienced Dredging and Marine Project Manager/Superintendent. YOUR PROFESSIONAL PREPARATION MUST INCLUDE SEVERAL YEARS OF DREDGING EXPERIENCE; wetlands restoration, seawall and shoreline rehabilitation experience also highly applicable. We work nationwide, primarily along the Gulf and South Atlantic States. Our firm is attracted to complicated projects that require a high degree of creativity and problem solving skill for optimum execution. Your first project could be anywhere in the US or its territories, probably for an agency or department of the US government. You will supervise a wide range of construction projects from start to finish. You will be a key team member in the estimating process and then organize and oversee construction procedures and ensure they are completed in a timely and efficient manner. You must be highly capable in dredging and marine construction methodologies and procedures and able to coordinate a team of professionals of different disciplines to achieve optimal results. The ideal candidate will have an analytical mind and superior organizational skills. The goal will be to ensure all projects are delivered professionally, safely, on time according to specifications, and on budget. THIS POSITION WILL REQUIRE TRAVEL AND FIELD SITE PRESENCE IN EXCESS OF 50%.

Education & Experience:
· Degree in construction management or related field or equivalent work experience in dredging and marine project estimating and project management for a minimum of 10 years.
· Broad experience in dredging and marine construction, including, hydraulic and mechanical dredging, beach nourishment, shoreline reconstruction, jetty, seawall, dam, lock, and wetlands rehabilitation. YOUR PROFESSIONAL PREPARATION MUST INCLUDE OF SEVERAL YEARS OF FIELD EXPERIENCE.
· Experienced problem solver, with expertise in identifying, managing, and resolving marine construction challenges in remote locations.
You should be able to operate every piece of equipment on the project in the event of short term immediate need.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Effective written and verbal communication skills.
· Work with, and be a key part of, the estimating process during project procurement.
· Act as the Company’s representative, supervisor, and project manager onsite.
· Carry out onsite supervisory and project management responsibilities accordance with our client organizations' and the Company's policies and procedures and applicable federal and local law.
· Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
· Strong organizational and time management skills.
· Capable of working in a high demand environment and able to meet established goals and objectives.
· Proficient Microsoft Office Suite, and with construction, project management software (or willing and able to learn),
· Capable of formulating technical proposals, including means and methods, scheduling, pricing, staffing, and resource acquisition/deployment.
· Function as quality control/quality assurance representative as required.
Physical Demands / Working Environment:
· ABILITY TO TRAVEL AND WORK AT SUSTAINED INTERVALS ON PROJECT SITES IN EXCESS OF 50% OF THE YEAR. This is a field supervision position. Our team works from the field. NO ONE IN OUR COMPANY HAS A PERMANENT FULL TIME OFFICE POSITION.
· Working outdoors in various temperatures and conditions for long periods of time.
· Capable of climbing ladders, working at heights, walking and standing on uneven surfaces, riding or working from a vessel, dredge, barge, pier, etc.
· Prolonged periods of time sitting at a desk and working on a computer, together with lifting, climbing, pulling, pushing, squatting for various periods of time.
· Must be able to lift to 50 pounds.
