We are a Medicare-certified Home Health Agency based in Orlando, Florida, seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Home Care Coordinator & Recruiting Specialist to join our team.
This position focuses on recruiting, onboarding, and maintaining qualified healthcare professionals, including Home Health Aides (HHAs), nurses, and therapists. The coordinator will also maintain personnel files, monitor required credentials, and ensure compliance with agency and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Post job openings on Indeed and other recruiting platforms.
- Actively recruit Home Health Aides (HHAs), nurses, and therapy professionals.
- Prioritize recruiting efforts based on current patient coverage and staffing needs.
- Screen applicants and coordinate interviews.
- Guide candidates through the complete application, screening, hiring, and onboarding process.
- Answer incoming calls and professionally assist applicants, caregivers, contractors, and other callers.
- Conduct or verify Level 2 background screenings.
- Complete OIG exclusion checks and, when applicable, E-Verify employment eligibility verification.
- Ensure all required documentation is complete, current, and compliant before personnel begin accepting assignments.
- Upload and maintain personnel records in the agency’s EMR system.
- Keep independent contractor and personnel files accurate, organized, confidential, and current.
- Ensure personnel records remain compliant and ready for regulatory surveys and audits.
- Collaborate closely with the Staffing Coordinator to recruit qualified personnel for open and difficult-to-staff patient cases.
- Address workplace concerns professionally and escalate serious matters to management.
- Promote positive communication and help resolve routine concerns involving agency personnel.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in home healthcare recruiting, caregiver coordination, onboarding, or personnel-file management is preferred.
- Familiarity with Medicare-certified home health agencies is strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of Level 2 background screening, OIG exclusion checks, and E-Verify is preferred.
- Strong organizational, time-management, and multitasking abilities.
- Proficiency with computers, electronic records, email, and online recruiting platforms.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Professional telephone etiquette.
- Ability to manage high-volume recruiting in a fast-paced environment.
- Detail-oriented with a strong understanding of documentation and compliance requirements.
- Ability to handle confidential information professionally.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred.
Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
