Overview:
We start on July 4th! Join our vibrant poolside team as a Pool Cabana Server, where you’ll deliver exceptional guest experiences in a lively, upscale outdoor setting. This dynamic role combines attentive food and beverage service, light culinary preparation, grill operations, and a passion for hospitality to ensure guests enjoy a relaxing and memorable day by the pool.
As a key member of our hospitality team, you’ll create a welcoming atmosphere, promote menu offerings, prepare select food items, and maintain the highest standards of service, safety, and sanitation. All team members will be cross-trained in grill operations, food preparation, and all cabana service functions to ensure a seamless and elevated guest experience. Duties:
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival, providing friendly and attentive service throughout their visit
- Take food and beverage orders accurately using POS systems
- Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
- Prepare and cook select menu items while following proper food safety and sanitation standards
- Operate grills and kitchen equipment safely and efficiently; all staff will be trained on grill operations and food preparation procedures
- Assist with food preparation, plating, and kitchen support as needed during service periods
- Serve food, beverages, and snacks efficiently while maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards
- Manage cash handling responsibilities with precision, including cashiering and processing payments via POS systems
- Maintain cleanliness of the cabana and kitchen areas, including bussing tables, sanitizing surfaces, and ensuring proper food handling procedures are followed
- Assist with setup and breakdown of the cabana area, ensuring all supplies are stocked and equipment is in working order
- Provide excellent guest services by addressing inquiries, resolving issues promptly, and fostering positive guest relations
- Support overall team operations by being flexible and cross-trained in all cabana service responsibilities
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or hospitality roles such as serving, bussing, hosting, or poolside service preferred
- Familiarity with POS systems is highly desirable
- Experience in fine dining, resorts, country clubs, or upscale hospitality environments is a plus
- Basic cooking, grilling, or kitchen experience is preferred, though training will be provided
- Willingness to learn grill operations, food preparation, and all aspects of cabana service is required
- Knowledge of food safety practices and sanitation protocols within the food industry is essential
- Strong time management skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced outdoor environment
- Basic math skills for cashiering, cash handling, and accurate order processing
- Excellent customer service skills with an energetic, team-oriented approach to guest engagement and relationship building
